The Dementia Care and Person-Centred Practices course empowers learners with the knowledge and empathy required to support individuals living with dementia. Participants will gain a strong understanding of dementia’s symptoms, stages, and impact on memory, behaviour, and emotions.
✔️ New entrants or caregivers who wish to gain professional skills in dementia care and elderly support. ✔️ Foreign domestic workers assisting elderly individuals at home. ✔️ Healthcare, wellness, and home-care practitioners expanding into specialised elderly care. ✔️ Family members or volunteers supporting loved ones with dementia. ✔️ Open to all male and female learners passionate about elderly care, empathy, and person-centred service.
The Dementia Care and Person-Centred Practices course equips learners with both the heart and skill for caregiving. You’ll gain practical knowledge to manage daily routines, handle emotional and behavioural challenges, and maintain a safe, supportive home environment. ✔️ At least 16 years old ✔️ Academic Requirement: At least a Grade C6 (Min 50 Percent) at O-Level in any 3 subjects or matured candidate who is 30 years old with at least 8 years of relevant working experience. ✔️ Language Requirement: At least a Grade 5 (Min 50 Percent) at N-Level English or IELTS 4.5 Additional Notes ✔️ This is a hands-on workshop, and participants will receive a Certificate of Completion upon finishing the course. ✔️ All training materials are included. ✔️ Each session runs approximately 3–4 hours, depending on the schedule and class progress. ✔️ Examination dates (if applicable) will be announced during the course. ✔️ Learners have up to 12 months from the course start date to complete their training. ✔️ Course Fees are non-refundable, unless the academy cancels the class without an alternate commencement date. ✔️ A minimum of 4 participants is required for class commencement. In the event of low enrolment, SOQ International Academy will notify students at least 7 days in advance and offer an alternative start date.
