Trainer FAQ
Do I need an ACTA or ACLP certificate to teach at SOQ? ▾
For Singapore Workforce Skills Qualifications (WSQ) funded courses, an ACTA (Advanced Certificate in Training and Assessment) or ACLP (Advanced Certificate in Learning and Performance) from IAL is statutory. For our non-WSQ masterclasses, executive workshops, and beauty diplomas, equivalent industry credentials and professional portfolios are evaluated case-by-case.
Can I teach on a part-time, evening, or freelance basis? ▾
Yes. A significant portion of our faculty members are working consultants, senior agency directors, and aesthetic business owners who teach weekend or evening cohorts. You can specify your available days upon engagement.
How does the trainer honorarium payment work? ▾
Honorariums are computed based on teaching hours, course accreditation level, and cohort size. Payouts are transferred automatically via GIRO / PayNow Corporate within agreed billing cycles following class completion.
What teaching support and resources does SOQ provide? ▾
SOQ manages learner registration, SSG funding claims, attendance tracking, classroom equipment, training consumables, and LMS accounts. Trainers receive vetted courseware and slides so you can concentrate wholly on teaching.
