Upon successful completion of the programme, learners will be able to: • Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of maternal, newborn and infant care principles. • Apply safe and appropriate caregiving techniques to support mothers and infants throughout the postnatal period. • Assess the physical, emotional and developmental needs of mothers and newborns and provide appropriate care. • Promote infant health, nutrition, hygiene, safety and developmental wellbeing. • Communicate effectively with families and healthcare professionals while maintaining professional ethics and standards. • Perform maternal and infant care responsibilities confidently in home-based, healthcare or childcare settings, or establish a professional maternal and infant care practice.
✔️ At least 16 years old ✔️ Academic Requirement: At least a pass (Grade C6) in GCE O-levels or equivalent, or NITEC/Higher NITEC. Mature candidates aged 30 years and above with at least 8 years of relevant working experience may be considered on a case-by-case basis. ✔️ Language Requirement: At least Grade C6 in GCE O-Level English or IELTS 5.5 or above. Applicants who do not possess the stipulated English language qualification will be required to undergo the Academy's English Language Placement Assessment. Additional Notes ✔️ Dates of the examination to be announced during course. ✔️ All amount stated are in Singapore Dollars (SGD). ✔️ The maximum allowed period for a student to complete the course is 18 months from first date of course ✔️ We do not issue Student Passes. “International Student” refers to individuals holding a valid Work Pass or any other long-term permit that allows them to reside legally in Singapore throughout the duration of their studies. ✔️ Applicants who do not meet the entry requirements may be considered for admission to the course based on evidence of at least eight (8) years of relevant working experience or supporting evidence of competency readiness OR case-by-case basis through an interview, taking into account factors such as relevance of experience, learning readiness, career planning, and other relevant considerations. MODULE 1: Provide Professional Infant Care Equip learners with the knowledge and practical skills to provide safe, hygienic and developmentally appropriate care for newborns and infants, including feeding, bathing, sleep management, hygiene, safety and effective communication with parents and caregivers. MODULE 2: Infant Massage and Early Development Enable learners to perform safe and effective infant massage techniques that promote bonding, relaxation, healthy growth and development while recognising contraindications and maintaining professional standards. MODULE 3: Holistic Maternal Care Develop learners' understanding of maternal care during pregnancy and the postnatal period, enabling them to provide holistic physical, emotional and lifestyle support while maintaining safe and ethical caregiving practices. MODULE 4: Maternal Nutrition and Wellness Equip learners with the knowledge to recommend appropriate nutritional practices and healthy lifestyle habits that support maternal health during pregnancy, confinement and breastfeeding. MODULE 5: Prenatal Massage Therapy Develop learners' competency in performing safe and effective prenatal massage techniques to relieve common pregnancy discomforts while adhering to professional consultation procedures, contraindications and safety guidelines. MODULE 6: Postnatal Massage and Recovery Therapy Equip learners with the practical skills to perform postnatal massage techniques that support maternal recovery, relaxation and wellbeing while applying appropriate aftercare advice, safety precautions and professional practices.
