The main aim of the VTCT Skills (ITEC) Level 3 Diploma in Fashion, Theatre and Media Make-up (Mandarin) is to enable learners to gain the necessary practical skills and knowledge in order to provide fashion, theatrical and media make-up to the general public and performers and to gain employment in the theatrical and media make-up industry. This qualification also provides: • The related knowledge and understanding required to perform the fashion, theatre and media make-up services outlined above effectively, in particular the structure and functions of the skin and common diseases and disorders that may affect whether a client should or should not receive treatment • Opportunities for learners to focus on the development of their wider skills in a fashion, theatre and make-up setting, such as communicating with clients, working with others and problem solving • Opportunities for learners to develop a range of skills, techniques, personal qualities and attitudes essential for successful performance in employment as a make-up artist
✔️ At least 16 years old ✔️ Academic Requirement: At least a pass (Grade C6) in GCE O-levels or equivalent, or NITEC/Higher NITEC. Mature candidates aged 30 years and above with at least 8 years of relevant working experience may be considered on a case-by-case basis. ✔️ Language Requirement: At least a Grade C6 (minimum 50%) in GCE & 039;O& 039; Level Chinese, or an equivalent Chinese language qualification (e.g. HSK Level 4 or above), or pass the Academy's Chinese Language Placement Test. Additional Notes ✔️ Dates of the examination to be announced during course. ✔️ All amount stated are in Singapore Dollars (SGD). ✔️ The maximum allowed period for a student to complete the course is 18 months from first date of course ✔️ We do not issue Student Passes. “International Student” refers to individuals holding a valid Work Pass or any other long-term permit that allows them to reside legally in Singapore throughout the duration of their studies. ✔️ Applicants who do not meet the entry requirements may be considered for admission to the course based on evidence of at least eight (8) years of relevant working experience or supporting evidence of competency readiness OR case-by-case basis through an interview, taking into account factors such as relevance of experience, learning readiness, career planning, and other relevant considerations. MODULE 2: Fashion, theatre, special effects and media make-up Develop learners' advanced technical and creative skills to design and apply fashion, theatre, special effects and media make-up for professional production and performance environments. MODULE 3: Professional conduct and business awareness Enable learners to demonstrate professional conduct, effective client management and business awareness required to build a successful career in the make-up industry.
