My Courses

The Courses area changes with the signed-in account's role, relationships, purchases, and assigned permissions. A learner's purchased courses, an instructor's authored courses, invited teaching assignments, and an organization's catalog are separate lists with different actions.

Role-specific course areas

Learners: My Purchases
  • What is included: Non-refunded course and bundle sales for the learner, active gifts addressed to the learner, and items for which purchase access is still enabled. Active courses are listed; restricted only for students items remain visible to entitled learners.
  • Summary information: Purchase count, total paid amount, learning duration, upcoming-course count, progress, and upcoming live sessions are calculated from the learner's eligible sales.
  • Continue learning: A course opens its learning page. A bundle opens its details so the learner can select included content. Upcoming or in-progress live courses can expose the next-session join information.
  • Downloads: The content link is offered when a purchased course is downloadable or contains files; each paid file still checks the learner's entitlement before download or playback.
  • Invoices: Paid course purchases expose an invoice. A gift purchaser can also open the gift sale invoice. Free items do not show a paid invoice action.
  • Feedback: The course review tab is available from a purchase card. A rating can be submitted only for an active course the user has bought, and only once per user and course; publication can be immediate or held for moderation.
  • Time-limited access: Where access days are configured, the card reflects whether the access window is still valid. Expired access does not silently grant entry.
Instructors and course creators: My Courses
  • Ownership scope: The list contains courses where the account is the creator or assigned teacher. Learner-only accounts are denied this screen.
  • Course states: Draft, pending, inactive, and active records can remain in the creator list. Public discovery is a separate rule and normally requires an active, non-private course.
  • Overview: Cards show course type, status, rating, sales-related statistics, duration/progress information, and price. Page totals include authored-course count, hours, and course sales amounts.
  • Create and edit: Teachers and organizations with create course permission can start the course wizard, edit course settings, and manage sessions and files. Live-course sessions and general files use the content step of that wizard.
  • Learning page: The learning-page action appears for an active course only when the account also has learning-page permission.
  • Student export: Export Students List is shown only with the export permission and produces the enrolled-student list for a course the account is allowed to manage.
  • Analytics: Statistics is independently permission-gated. It opens course reporting rather than changing course content.
  • Duplicate: Duplication requires its own permission and is restricted to the course creator; an invited or merely assigned teacher cannot duplicate another creator's course.
  • Delete: Delete requires its own permission and creator ownership. Depending on the content-deletion configuration, the action either deletes directly or follows the configured deletion-request workflow.
Invited classes and organization classes
  • Invited Classes: This list is built from partner-teacher invitations. It is separate from authored courses and requires the invited-classes permission. The instructor can see the assigned class, but creator-only actions remain unavailable.
  • Organization Classes: An organization member with an organization relationship and the required permission can view the parent organization's active courses or active bundles. Without a valid organization relationship, the route is not available.
  • Organization summary: The screen reports organization student and instructor counts and counts active, public organization courses. Private courses are excluded from that public-course statistic.
  • Role boundary: Organization-owned content is selected by the organization's creator ID; it is not the same as the member's personal authored list.
Comments, favourites, and personal notes
  • Course comments: The panel comment area supports listing, creating, editing, deleting, replying to, and reporting course comments where the corresponding panel access is available. Public comments and replies may be published immediately or remain pending according to moderation settings.
  • My Comments: Provides a user-focused history separate from the instructor's course-comment management list.
  • Favourites: Signed-in users can toggle a course favourite from the public course area, then view and remove saved entries in the panel. A favourite is a bookmark, not a purchase or learning entitlement.
  • Personal notes: Notes are created while using the authenticated learning page. The panel provides the learner's note list and deletion; note attachments have their own download and delete actions. Notes remain personal and are not course comments.
Recommended workflows
  1. Learner: Open My Purchases, choose Continue Learning, use session information for a scheduled live class, and submit feedback after purchase.
  2. Instructor: Open My Courses, create or edit content, check its state, then use Statistics or Export Students List only when those actions are assigned to the role.
  3. Invited instructor: Open Invited Classes and work within the teaching assignment; return to My Courses for personally created or directly assigned content.
  4. Organization member: Use Organization Classes for the parent organization's active courses and bundles, and My Courses for content owned or taught by the current account.

Feature and permission gates: A missing menu or action usually means the role lacks its specific permission, the account is the wrong role, the item is not active, or the user is not its creator. Purchase, favourite, invitation, and organization membership are separate relationships and do not grant one another automatically.
